John Frusciante and Josh Klinghoffer - A Sphere in the Heart of Silence

Em 2004, O guitarrista do RHCP, e respeitado artista solo, John Frusciante juntou com seu amigo Josh Klinghoffer pra criar o A Sphere in the Heart of Silence, o quinto album da carreira solo de John, numa série de seis em seis meses.

O album foi feito com sete faixas e com um flerte para o experimental e eletronico com bastante uso de teclados e sintetizadores.

Josh já havia colaborado em alguns discos solo de John Frusciante tocando bateria e sintetizadores. Os dois já haviam trabalhado no Automatic Writing (segundo album de Frusciante) junto de Fugazi´s Joe Lally e se nomeram 'Ataxia'.
